ILLUSION'S DELUSIONS

ILLUSION'S DELUSIONS

Tis a place of illusion
Where sweet dreams are birthed
Or where nightmares, perhaps
Sprout as weeds in red earth

Where the pool always ripples
With a whisper or scream
Where trees may drip blood
Or boast ripe leaves of green

Tis a meeting of loved ones
Or, no loved ones at all
Sometimes just mirrors
To watch yourself fall

The glass might drip gently
Like diamond shaped rain
Or be large sharded knives
That gift slices of pain

Where pinks smell like purple
Where fire is ice
Where water flows upward
And shadows fall twice

Where all the five senses
Are heightened within
Tuned into lifes goodness

Or broiled in lifes sin

Tis a place of illusion
With its doorway in sleep
But enter with caution

For your secrets, it speaks
