I'm a woman
I'm a woman
I'm born with an expiration date.
The countdown begins
In my sweet 16th's
I'm a woman
I am a commodity
You can buy me for goats
And kill me for free
I'm a woman
My value lies between my legs
And not between my ears.
I'm a frigid or a whore
Nothing in between.
I'm a woman
I need protection of a man
From other men.
Marry me
And you can rape me legally.
I'm a woman
I'm too fat or to thin,
Too blonde or too dark
Never ok,
Never enough.
I'm a woman,
My voice goes unheard,
Like a scream underwater
Like a fight in a dream.
I'm a woman,
Today I am proud,
I stand tall,
Let me be!

I think you have summed up our plight in a nutshell...the only real freedom is when you truly stop caring and that happens at a certain age and then you become completely invisible ...and it's wonderful x
Hi Marion,
I agree, but it's sad. Things should change.
