I’m Just Lucky

I’m Just Lucky

I’m just lucky I can still think and write
I’m so sore I can’t sleep at night
who are we kidding

we put God in a little room
somewhere
and we never ask for pity
I’m just lucky I believe and I’m blessed
yes I’ve sinned yes I’ve confessed
and yes I will one day be dying
So what’s the world hold for me
Heaven knows
and maybe
I’ll see you
let’s just keep on trying
