Poem -
~ IMMORTAL GARDEN ~
Within the reach of ears and eyes
I planned and planted my seeds surprises
Songs of Love and poetic compromises
Shall be my Immortal Garden
Living on, bearing beauties fruit
From each season's soft salute
Shall shine on in eternities roots
And never, ever, harden
For within its simple, soft parade
Does march a lovingly woven brocade
Spring to Winter's cavalcade
Of ever-evolving jargon
I wish to leave poetic writes
To grow and inspire new insights
For my time upon this earth grows nigh
As I complete my Immortal Garden
So, within the reach of ears and eyes
I leave mazes for poetic spies
To unfurl my little hidden prizes

Great poem Tony. These are some heavy words...
It sound as if you're thinking of giving up poetry and leaving readers to decipher and ponder over the meaning of your many poems.
I hope this isn't the case as you're an inspiration especially to myself. When I first joined Cosmo I thought writing poems was all about rhyming, but that is far from the case. The rhyming is the easy part.

No Way man!!.....I could never give up poetry... but I can Certainly see why you'd think that.....I hadn't quite looked at it that way.... so thank you for opening my eyes to that aspect.... and I do apologize for being a bit misleading there..... in fact, I'm working on the biggest musical project of my life right now...... and poetry is everything as a songwriter...... but this piece came about as a result of that very first line......I had some time outside the studio (which is where I am right now ~ a recording studio in Vienna Virginia)...... and I wanted to write something so I challenged myself with that line and the rest just poured out of me in about 30 minutes..... there IS probably some underlying truth to those words but they were not planned... and as result I've created something pretty misleading...... again, thank you for helping me see!!.......I ALWAYS look forward to your impressions..... and in this case you saved my ass!! (smiles)....... because I usually consider pretty thoroughly what I post...... and obviously I didn't in this case!!...... you're the man brother!!....... stay groovy.... and lots of Love to you and yours!!..... heading to your page right now!!....... peace.......T xo. : )
