Imperfections and Flaws

I have so many flaws
Imperfection is deep within me
You see more in than I see in myself
Perfection lies far from me

I'm shaped differently
I'm like no other
My DNA is unique
My blood runs deep

I have scars
Some small 
Some so deep
You could fall

Right into them
Not able to escape
They pull onto you
Tugging at the skin

I want to run far away
And hide
So many things I do not recognize

Who are you?
Who are they?
Where am I?
It seems like doomsday

Everything scattered
Everything erased
My mind is in another place

Wishing and hoping to be gone
My life is in so many pieces
I wish to move on

From this place 
Happy and free
One day

I pray to become a better me 
Not lost or scared
Or creeping

From one place to the next
I wonder as time passes by
What's in store for me
The next second or hour

No one knows
Except the mighty one above
What my future holds

My heart soars
Free as a dove
Waiting to see my future unfold
