IN A BAD WAY

I'm in a bad way and a very upsetting state 
I guess you could say I have a lot on my plate
My job is uncertain to last the end of the year 
Got the taste each night for whisky and beer 

The wife doesn't say much and lets me be 
Guess she wants to be independent and free
Friends don't listen to what I have to say 
Sure is difficult to get through each day 

So that's my story I've raised the alarm 
Is the answer to my problem self harm
I've tried to be brave, courageous and strong 
It's hard my friend when everything is wrong
