Poem -

In a box

In a box

I have kept my mind in a box
A box full of uncertainty, questions and hopelessness

A box full of fear and wonder

A box that can't be opened

A box that can't be sent

A box that just stays there

A box that goes nowhere

Fear and wonder engulfs me when I dive into a sea and drown

Even my innate strength cannot save me

I feel a little lost everyday

How will I face the world if I don't have a job?

If I don't earn enough?

If I don't do enough?

What do I need to do right?

Where did I go wrong?

I went wrong nowhere

It's all in my mind

I compare everywhere

My fears intertwine

It's time to put it to a stop

It's time to turn it off

But I cannot. Everytime I try to do so, something inside my mind pulls my strings and brings me to a halt

From where I see no horizon and I'm inevitably lost

But you can

You can if you try

You can if you take control

You can if you stop thinking

You can if you believe

Take the first step

Because that's the most important step

Towards the change that you need

Towards that change that you deserve
