In Memory Of My Dad

Dad passed away in eighty- four,
I never told him how I felt.
When I found out about his death,
My heart began to melt.
I think about him all the time,
Wishing he was still around.
So I could say I love you,
With these feelings, I have found.
But I guess that I will have to wait,
Even though, it makes me sad.
When I see him I will tell him,
How much I miss and love you Dad.
Missing him has caused me pain,
Way deep, down in my heart.
If I could see him one more time,
That would be a real good start.
So hey Dad when I get there,
I was hoping and just wishing.
That we could spend just one more day,
Out on the lake just fishing.
