IN NINE MONTHS TIME

It was an endless summer day in the middle of June 
We were playing Scrabble the day would be disappearing soon
I love my wife's company that much is true 
That's when she made an announcement out of the blue 

"In nine months time you will be a father my love "
The words she spoke were sent from heaven above 
Our lives will be so different and won't be the same 
When my son or daughter arrives and shares the family name 

I know my wife will make a super and fantastic mummy 
As I went over to her and kissed her tummy 
What will happen in the future I cannot say 
Both of us will remember however this endless summer day
