In The Deepest Darkest Depths of my Heart

From My Raven Collection

In The Deepest Darkest Depths of my Heart

In the deepest, darkestĀ
depths of my heartĀ
is where I keep them
now, lost foreverĀ
souls never to be seen
nor heard from again
once, long agoĀ
they where here, in body and soul
voices, laughter, warmthĀ
safe arms wrapped around me
on those occasions I needed them
with life's tears, shared between us
I often think about
what it could have been like
If they hadn't left this earth
so soon?Ā
I often reflect with great sorrow
my only question
why did they have to leave?Ā
my greatest sadness is knowing
they are absentĀ
whenever I myselfĀ
have the great fortuneĀ
to feel joy
knowing they aren't here to see it

leaving an empty space...

In the deepest, darkestĀ
depths of my heart.

Good writing, your raven collection must be quite big. Yes, dear Shirley, our beloved ones leave an empty space in our hearts. Hugs.
P.S Ā I was going to give you a like, but nah! Have to give you Stars.Ā

My Raven collection is some of my most important work dear Benedette, simply because I lost someone very important to me at a very young age, my brother he was 25 and he died far from.home, it was very traumatic, my own mother died in the end of a broken heart, I have lived extraordinary grief in my 20's/30's now I'm a bit older in my late 40's I find it is my cure so to speak a way of sharing with other writers. Thank you so much. I have nothing but gratitude to share with others as we all have a story to tell. šŸ’œ

Oh, you had your share of grief and I can only wish you peace & comfort.
Your good heart needs it. Oh my god, you were so young to endure all
Ā this, Shirley. It changes you, shapes and turns you into who you are now.Ā
Cherish the good & beautiful memories. Keep strong! A warm hug, BĀ

Hello my dear Marion, I do indeed have a collection of what I call my raven collection of poems, they are my grief, he is my messenger of grief,Ā  you can find many on here, thank you for your curiosity and your lovely words of kindness dear friend. 🌹 I never liked crows but the raven well he comes from Edgar Allen Poe, and I'm delighted to be able to share. ā¤ļø

I love that you've written a series to help express ( not cure) your grief.
I shall certainly look for them.over the coming days Shirley šŸ’•šŸ’•

You are right the word cure is wrong express is a much better word, I have many of these poems and they have helped my own personal grief journey. And I hope they can also help others, behind every pair of eyes there's a story.Ā  ThankĀ  you darling Marion. ā¤ļø
