IN THE NAME OF FATHER : POEM 1
THE EVERLASTING BOND

THE EVERLASTING BOND
The road is long, and I am growing old,
My hands are tired from the years of toil.
The quiet stories that I have been told,
Are now the memories of a sacred soil.
But in my heart, you are a child once more,
Your tiny hand still rests within my own.
The daughter I raised, the one that I adore,
A love that's deeper than a king's old throne.
I know my time is drawing to an end,
But love like this can never truly die.
For in your heart, my love will still extend,
Beneath the vast and ever-loving sky.
My life, a verse, and yours, the final part,
A sonnet etched within a father's heart.
