In the Void I Buried Flame
Flames of Desires 1.1

I held the flame with trembling hands, A spark that slipped like shifting sands. I whispered, "Go," yet heard its cry— A silent wail I can't deny.
I could not snuff what burned so true, Though pain was all it ever knew. So down I went, past thought and breath, To where desire sleeps near death.
I built a vault where none could see, A lockless cage inside of me. No key, no map, no guiding sign— Just walls of will and sealed-off time.
And there I left it, glowing faint, No songs to sing, no dreams to paint. A buried sun in midnight’s dome— A longing exiled far from home.
This place I made, both grave and shrine, The void of heart, the cracks of mind. It waits in stillness, dim and cold— A tale of Desire I never told.
