Inbetween Eternity

Life,
appearing as a mere glimpse,
juxtaposed against the eternal,
so infinite,
yet small,
only captivating us half as much as the other side,
Death.
Smooth,
polished,
the idea I mean,
even as the questions persist,
as timeless as they were when first uttered,
eternity brings us all security,
equality,
a fair trial,
But what is life beyond a binding force,
keeping us but not possessing us,
that holds our souls but does not claim them.
A god is something created out of meticulous ritual,
created from necessity,
crafted for convenience,
in which every fool believes to be a birthright,
but a god is something you must work for,
strive after,
strife over,
die for.
But if these Heavens,
this Earth,
this plain,
is such a god as I suspect,
how then,
will dying for it,
bring me closer to it,
if the only thing that will come of death is the sound of my Velcro essence,
detaching from its self,
"Kritchhhck"
well maybe there's more to it than what meets the ear,
maybe death,
eternal,
and life,
intrepid,
are more alike then once infamously uttered,
like two sides of a mirror,
made from the same piece of glass,
but each side reflecting a different angle of the same place,
the place where the glass came from, the creator.

I am digging this prose. You pose the very questions that plague the infinite tongues of cycling beings. We hold our questions in the end. Well done this is a very good write.
