Indian summer please ?

Oh where an earth is the âIndian summerâ the one that I can remember, we basked in the sizzling sun in the middle of September
Shall it make an appearance, Oh Iâm hoping that it will coz Iâm sat indoors in my livingroom feeling the autumn chill
Alas summer is sadly past & brought autumn in itâs wake
So winter will be following on with long cold days for pityâs sake
Whilst I shall listen to the weatherman to hear what he has to say... perhaps he may tell us an Indian summer is heading our way
Iâm going to seek out my warm woolies & put away my summer stuff then hopefully sodâs law will weave itâs magic thatâs if I wrap myself up enough!!!Â

Jilliputian,Â
I so agree! Ugh! It's still warm here(yesterday was downright hot), but the nights are cold...and lonely(lol), and soon we'll be in for our 11 months of winter. How I dislike it. Time for the felt undies, I guess. lol.Â
Note: I think it's called Native American Summer in today's politically correct society. lol.Â
Loved the write.Â
Matthew.Â
Ahh ok but I looked Indian summer in safari n said was hot spell in Autumn so thought must b ok xx
I was jusk kidding, Jilliputian! It's still Indian Summer, and I'm hoping for it, too. How are you?Â
Matthew.Â
Aww thought u were serious man haha Im grand n yup wish it would warm up x
No, I would never correct you, you're smarter than myself.Â
Our winters here in NY consist of 44 weeks of 79 degrees below zero(and that's the warm portion), 300 feet of snow, and everyone's tongue stuck to a metal pole(due to the lack of belief that it will actually stick, upon a dare). Once my tongue was stuck to a pole for 7 months, until I remember I had a blow torch in my pocket, and skewered it off. It was embarrassing.Â
What are your winters like? Are they brill?Â
Matthew.Â
Eh Im not smart :( well your winters sound hellish we usually get snow for few weeks n -summit but hopefully this one coming wont b bad xxÂ
