Indigent Valentine

No glittering diamonds or oyster gems

Nor alluring attire with silk laced hems

No stately travel or expensive cruise

Nor luxury vehicles of bold hues

No rose petal beds or sleek satin sheets

Nor heart shaped boxes of lush chocolate treats

But Valentine, keep these things safely stowed

Within shelter of memories abode

For eventually all shall be gained

Though now to offer is my love contained

Priceless, powerful, patient, pure as peace

Accept faithfully and all angst will cease
