The Inevitable Transformation.

So I have changed, so I am dead,
Melancholic so it is said,
I wish the ringing would stop in my head,
So I have changed, so I am dead.

Whenever I cough it comes up black,
And my chest hurts like a heart attack,
I live without want, nothing in lack,
Except for good health and a strong back.

So I have changed, so I become,
A heartless soul, the greedy one,
There is no talent, no song to be sung,
But only the brief blast of a gun.

So I have changed so I am dead,
Lying on an old dusty bed,
Come away, away thoughts of dread!
So I have changed into the dead...
