~ Inferiority & The Lonely Soul ~
At some point in life
We all swim in pools of inferiority
We all bow our heads
Cry to ourselves
"I'm not good enough!"...
That lonesome stareÂ
Staring back from the mirror
The mirror of your soul
The mirror of your introspection
Begins to crack...
They don't know that you're a movie star
They don't know that you compare
All of society around you
To a reflection of yourself
Making you feel the inferiority
Of being a good liar
A lonely actor
More than aware
Of the plethora of lies you tell
To find love
To find affection
That affection everyone yearns for
Because if you're not a somebody
You have committedÂ
A sin
And in finding this false affection
You have gained
A sinful cross
And as we ~ the inferior
Are keenly aware,
We All,
Have our cross to bear...

Very relatable feelings in this one Tony , I 110’/, agree with Gwendoline on this as well . If only we could see inside of everyone and get past all the different walls they hide behind to know what’s really going on .Â

A sin'....yes, I think maybe we ourselves more than society place this pressure on ourselves Tony. This poem speaks a lot of pretence, the need to fit in and be accepted and of those people who 'fake' it to make it, usually at great cost to themselves and those who get caught up in their shallowness. And honest to god you have managed to convey in your work the utter and hopeless loneliness of such people, great write from a master xÂ
