INGA CRIED

First it was her husband now it is her son
Both killed with a bullet from a stray gun
Should she escape or maybe just hide
Inga cried

Her house is no more a shell only remains
On the ground are bodies and bloodstains
So many people are dying or have died
Inga cried

She makes a decision underground she goes
No food to eat and no time to pack clothes
Trying to be brave with dignity and pride
Inga cried

One day this war will be over thinks Inga today
Nothing last forever as she then starts to pray
Until then she must take it all in her stride
Inga cried
