An innocent artiste ~ in memory of Rowen Altenburger
The lady is no more
her breath has left
and her eyes are shut,
the light no longer reaches
her majestic mind ~
she lay upon the golden bed
poised for heaven's sound and
there she will know her life
as it is in death; in suffering,
for this symphony dark score
playing to the inner tune
this lady that has left our shores
no longer with us anymore
Our tears are not enough
they weep rivers deep
for the lady we barely knew
that has her eyes asleep
yet her heart beats in the sky
we can look upwards
the lady floating above
we shall not forget the artiste
who painted out her love
for this earth's eyes
we are worse for ware
we die with her each day
as we ourselves
into the loneliness stare
God marches in strange ways
wearing armour one day
and nothing the next
so we take off our own armour
for the lady that was vexed
torn and suffering
her own rags must declare
the painted lines that dare upon
her canvas, portraying strife
with haunted eyes and arms
of mankind
gripping fences of life
the lady has brought our
own humanity to bear
We shall remember an innocent artiste

This is truly a moving and beatiful tribute to Rowen, a rare, delicate soul that touched and occupied all of our hearts. May she sing with the angels now and protect all those in need. Her life although short, but her memory will for ever live in our hearts.

Heya jai, this is a beautiful write , i was saddened to see such news on this beautiful girls suicide, a very talented artist, who's shadows were dark through depression, but her soul was so bright and brilliant, sometimes it all just becomes to much, and sadly suicide numbers are growing, again great write, for such a beautiful young women, i wrote a piece on her death on Facebook a while ago now, i shall see if i can find it, much love to you, nardine xoxo
