Poem -

Insecure

These insecurities could eat her alive

Thighs that rub together and crooked teeth

Slightly large feet and eyebrows not perfectly shaped

She looks in the mirror

And everything she sees

Is everything she hates

But the key to being happy

Is learning to love yourself

To accept the person you are

And be comfortable in your own skin

So she rubbed off the makeup

Got undressed

Down to the frame of her body

The skin that she was put in

Staring at her reflection

Her reflection staring back at her

Every curve of her body

The freckles on her legs

The scars on her arm

And the birthmark on her stomach

She smiled

As she looked past the things

She had always thought were wrong

And looked for the beauty inside

The things that made her who she is

The things that made her truly beautiful
