INSPIRATION

Sometimes words don't flow the way they should  
Trying to make them rhyme is worse than giving blood 
I struggle and scratch but nothing clicks 
Like starting a fire with sodden sticks 

Then my inspiration comes and suddenly appears 
Not caused by drugs or by drinking beers 
For you are my inspiration to succeed 
The one true friend I desperately need 

Words on the page are again starting to flow 
Another poem comes to life for this I know  
Thank you for inspiring me again once more  
I'm over my writer's block that's for sure
