Into the Night Sky

I look into the night sky

And think to myself,

Is there another world beyond our own?

A world very much like ours,

But different in many ways,

A world with no pain, no fear, and no guilt.

If so, where is this world I speak of?

Is it far beyond our visual line of sight?

Or perhaps closer then many may think?

Are they looking for us?

Do they know we are here?

No one knows,

No one knows if there are beings like us,

No one knows if there is a world like this,

With oceans and trees, mountain and hills, a sun and clouds.

What would these people be like?

Can they love like we can?

Do they get angry like many people do?

Are they mad like some are?

No one knows,

And many may never,

As for me it is time to sleep,

And these questions leave me to think,

Is there another world out there?

With a person looking up and saying...

I look into the night sky

And think to myself,

Is there another world beyond our own…
