Intolerance

What sort of society are we living in that wont allow us to be ourselves,
where have we arrived at when were not allowed to convey who and what we really are,
where have we arrived at when we can be bullied by the way we look.
Whats going on when people are intimidated on a daily basis,
sometimes it seems wev'e not progressed at all,
is it self-loathing that makes one disrespectfulΒ to those they see as timid,
is it anger that makes one do harm to those they consider weaker.
Its incomprehensible to realise intolerance can drive a person to kill,
its incomprehensible to realise intolerance can lead to murder.
Why is that someone who goes against the herd instinct is considered a threat,
how does someone end up losing their life for being individual,
how does someone end up dead for just wanting to be different.

Powerful and well written.Β I do not have the answers to your questions and I am not sure anybody truly does.Β It's despicable to treat another human in that way, I wholeheartedly agree with you.
it appears individuality is still frowned upon even in the 21st century.
