A winters wind blows cold and chill 
the naked forest grey and still
Stars cascading in the night 
The moon providing muted light.

Snowflakes fly in festive fare.
The songs of Christmas fill the air.
Thoughts of family at Christmas olde
More precious than the finest gold.

Children caroling in  holy choirs
Warming hands by cosy fires
On Christmas morn the rejoicing bells
From the Kitchen warm enticing smells
