It's not just a guy thing

Guys!  They tell you things you want to hear
Then discard you like a piece of crap.
One minute they make you feel so special
Then the next you are crying in a corner wondering why they've left.
They treat you like you're the only person in the world,
Then walk out the door never talk to you again.

Guys!  They make you believe in yourself
Then they shatter your dreams by kicking you down.
Some guys they beat you so you will stay with them forever,
Some guys they treat you like you don't even matter,
Some guys they love you till you can't take anymore,
But most guys they just walk out the door.
Is there any decent guy even out there anymore?
How do some guys just walk away?
How do some guys just discard you that way?
Why is it some guys don't care about their responsibilities?
Why is it some guys have children yet don't accept the role it takes?
How is it that some, in fact most guys, can just walk way?
