It's written in his blood.

He knows where the rivers flow
Each stick within the trail
Beneath those silence stars
He shall never fail
It's written in his blood
Upon the stone edge
Where in honour and love
Open heartedly
His soul has
Made it's pledge
To walk in darkness
Towards the light
Over turning
every rock In sight
To find my heart
Within the night
And bring it back
To me
Weary his mind
Is not
For his heart it knows
The way
He traced
My every breath
My aching love
that day
Countless stars
above him
Guide
Upon his way
Seeking my heart
In darkness
Before
New dawning day
Searching for my heart
Within the night
Before
I fade away
It's written in his blood
Upon the stone edge
Where in honour and love
Open heartedly
His soul has
Made it's pledge
To find my heart
Within the night
Walk in darkness
Towards the light
Reviving our love
Before morning light
saving my aching soul
From flight.

Nice, like the continuous "quest" to find your heart. Brings across the lengths he will go through for love. The feeling of faithfulness through the dark, is also prevelant. Also feels like the person does not want to give up, even in the hard times and is willing to bring joy even then. Well, this is what I took from the poem.
You have a good eye for deciphering your spot on with your comments,
glad it's understood:)
Blame it on my English teacher, her ruler and Shakespeare, Byron and the other lot. Our words hide more meaning than what we sometimes intend. Also some poems just have that gift of speaking to a person. We just have to listen.
Really haha, I'm glad my teacher's weren't aloud a ruler, true speaking poetry, hidden messages all fun to read, like puzzles of people's mind's, line by like another clue before the final piece
