It's You I See, In Every Face.....
I look around the room
And it's you I see in every face
In every place, in every graceful movement
From the dance in the dark
To the hint of Bob Marley
I look around the room
And it's you I see.....
Once, when I watched you dance
I thought I saw the truth
The truth about beauty
The beauty in all things
I look around the room
And it's still you I see.....
I'm frantic with fear of rooms now
Rooms without you
Rooms without beauty
Rooms without truth.........
When there's a sun up in the sky now
It evolves into your face
In every place, in every Morning Glory
From the sunflower seed
To the hint of sunshine
I gaze at this lonely room
And it's still you, of whom, I dream now.......
Remember that magic window?
Where we'd watch the people outside
It was you I'd see, in every face
In every place, through all those smiling faces
Where sun soaked passersby
Would hint of you and I ....
Now, as I look around the room
And it's still you that I embrace
Still you in every face, still you
In every graceful movement
From dancing in the dark
And having you
Illuminate, the view
How I miss you
My sweet
You.......

To see one's muse, even in her absence, depicted in the facial features of others, suffused in every room, unto loneliness, and even despair, is to enjoy the joys and pains of love. Your love/muse has infused you with the beauty of poetry. Indeed, your muse has opened you to heighten realities both within and without. Your imagination is soaring to capture a hidden truth--the truth of love. There are so many lines of magic in this poem. It is truly magnetic, and especially well written.
I am humbled kind sir...........tony xx
