I've Heard a Poet can do Anything

 I've heard a poet can do many things, so I thought I might explore
That when his letters reach their peak, words become reborn

I've heard a poet can do anything, his pencil is a magical sword
Carving skies of blue, and grass that's green, he can lead you to the Lord

I've heard a poet can do anything he sets his mind to do
With pinpoint precision his poem speaks to you

I've heard a poet can do anything so I'll be the poet tonight
And I'll drop my pencil without a word, and simply hold you tight
