Jack Frost

Earth is hard this morning
Jack Frost has been around
Leaving all his evidence
Lying on the ground

Theres nothing much uncovered
Hes touched everything in sight
I think he took a massive puff
Covering his scenery white

Although this does look pretty
It worries me a tad
All our local roads will be slippy
& bad

So all you early morning drivers
Can you please be aware
Be cautious on those roads
Do take care

Yes its winter I know
But I hate this icy state
If I’m driving to the town innit
I let the sun come out & wait

You see the byroads are untreated
Mr Council man leaves them alone
So its us living in the sticks
That suffers worst I groan

Nevermind it will pass
Spring will soon be here
So in the meantime Merry Christmas to all with good cheer
