Jagger Swagger
The drinks are flowing freely
The night is in full swing
The Stones come on the stereo
Up from his seat he springs
Strutting like no one's watching
Turning his lips inside out
Head bobbing like a chicken
Sporting that famous Jagger pout
Forearms tight & upright
Like a chickens wing
Miming most the words
The chorus he would sing
An impersonation of Mick Jagger
That no one will forget
He danced so odd and awkward
Like a T-Rex with tourettes

LOL!! LOL!!.... that was a great read..... I'm still smiling over here.... I've seen him a few times in concert....... the first time was the best....I saw him at the Capital Center outside of DC in the early 80's......amazingly fun time all around...... the crowd was as much fun as the show (smiles & winks)...... There is nothing like knowing every single word of every song and just singing and dancing your ass off to Jagger's strutting and growling edge......A serious BLAST..... this made me laugh out loud brother!!...... kick ass!!......thanx so much for the smiles SYD!!.......smokin' grooves!!.......T xo. : )
Thanks so much for your kind comment Tony. I've never seen the Stones live, but my good friend Dave's impersonation of him is what inspired this poem. I was in stitches.
Take care - Syd xo
Sounds really good, I love the stones, great poetry Syd.
Yeah I love the Stones too. Original stuff which is hard to come by these days. Thanks for reading and commenting Gerard, I appreciate the compliment.
Stay safe in these apocalyptic times - Syd
