JAKE's GYM

We work all day, boots of mud
We survived the nor'easter, we stood the flood
What can I say that hasn't been said
The old gym is shut down, our arms still pumped of lead
This towns changing fast, million dollar condos, six dollar gas

Jake's gym, oh Jake's gym
There's not much I can do for you now, my faithful friend
Jake's gym, oh Jake's gym
We're here now 'cause the politics wouldn't bend

There's a fight on the boulevard tonight
Someone's wrong, the other thinks he right
One guy knows someone who can get the job done
The other has deeper pockets, a bigger gun
This towns changin fast, peer village, greener grass

Jake's gym, oh Jake's gym
There's not much I can do for you now, my furry friend
Jake's gym, oh Jake's gym
We're here now 'cause there's a means to every end
