Japanese hornets

Japanese hornets

Aluminium cansย
Squashed neatly
In the recycling binย
ย

Reminiscent ofย
Japanese hornetsย
Rapping their heads
On the honeycombย

They rap so loud....

I can't stand the din!

Vicious and ravenousย
A foreign body gestatesย
From within....

This bloodline is cursed
Doomed like the Russian submarine
The Kursk

Pressure building steadilyย
No cure or rememedyย
Imploding gently...

Giving up like a buttercupย
To the harsh frost of springย

Being Me

Very interesting writing. Although not mentioned, I feel strong Covid 19 parallels in this x

Yes I picked up on that too, and I think "cans crushed neeatly" is a perfect description for isolation. A timely write.ย

Hi Christina and Al, yes there is definitely a Covid 19 theme in there. Cans crushed neatly is also an unintended metaphor for isolation. I hadn't given that much thought, thanks for pointing that out.

Stay safeย  - Sydย
