The Jesus Cross

The Jesus Cross

Come here death
Bring thy spell from
The witches' curse
Place it in this potion
To drink a night's grave

I wander through and by
The graves
Dead bodies beckon
Stones upon graves
Letters upon souls

Deep I walk
Down the stairs
Into the cauldron of death
Taps on shoulders
Fears upon time

There it is, in the dark
Amidst the hungry spiders
In cobwebs caught
By the tarantulas
A body in web

And so it is
Arms stretched across
Pulled outwards in opposite direction, held  by fragility
Of the Jesus cross
