Jimmys Ambition

I’d love to be an astronaut
Little Jimmy thought
So he studied hard in lessons
& he took in what was taught

His science teacher, Mr Cooper 
Gave encouragement throughout
He could tell this lad was brilliant & he never had a doubt

He spent his playtime in the library
Many rocket books he’d read
Jimmy couldn’t get enough of them 
It was his life, his world indeed!!!

Every Christmas & his birthday
His presents he did get
Aunt Meg bought him a telescope & an astronomy set

Jimmy looked up in the sky
He got his eye on Mars
This telescope was wonderful
For studying the stars

Well the years have passed hes older
& I’m very pleased to say
Jimmys ambition came true
He did excel in every way

He is a very wealthy man
With a few expensive cars
He is an astronaut in a rocket
& he has landed it on Mars ?
