Journey
It's been a long journey
A long journey for me
A journey that's still going
Some of it I can not see
Some is good
Some is bad
I feel like the hard part is over
But, I will never know until the journey is over
I've been beaten
I've been controlled
I've been scared
I've been terrified
I've been afraid
I was even close to going insane
I've come so far in my journey
I've decided to break the chains
And set myself free
Can't you see a smile
That wasn't there before
My face is glowing like the night shining stars
I've come so far
I am free
This beautiful young lady that you see
Is never turning back from what she once escaped
