Joyous Feelings

Joyous Feelings

You see the tree,

glistening with the lights that hang upon it.

You feel the warmth of the fire,

dancing on the logs in the fireplace.

Then there's the slight scent of your mother's homemade cookies.

You snuggle in the couch,

in your softest sweater,

your fuzziest socks,

with your most favorite blanket,

knitted by your grandmother,

sometime in the past.

Holding that cup of hot cocoa,

you inhale the sweet aroma of which it is Christmas.

No worries,

no concerns,

just you with your family,

enjoying the peaceful holidays.
