Poem -

Judy had been cold before.

Judy had been cold before,

but this was something else.

She glared down at her glass of ice,

She placed it on a shelf.

The door would not open up and

the windows-frozen shut.

This modern, red-brick igloo was

a cold depressing hut.

Oh sure her home, it simply was

clear, clean and quite well stocked,

but had she known of the years gone,

she may have been quite shocked.

Had the ghost of green Earth past

flown her through the night,

and slapped her red as she had said

'it will all turn out alright'.

This simply will not affect me.

Not in my lifetime will i see,

treeless forests and waterless seas,

hurricanes, storms and tsunamis.

Oh how wrong could Judy be?

As wrong as a person could be!

Judy had been cold before,

If only she'd recycled more.
