JUNE 13TH 2020

Eating sandwiches in the cathedral grounds
Listening to birds singing such sweet sounds
Seeing the cathedral against a bright blue sky
A mum with her two children started to cry

The tears she shed were with happiness and joy
For she was in the company of her daughter and boy
Nowhere in the world would this lady rather be
The shackles of the lockdown starting to be free

Smiles all around on this hot summer's day in June
A perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon
This lady deserves days like this and even more
A brave person is she fighting this virus war
