Before it all ends
Just one last time
I would like the 
chance
to wear my Uniform again
where the very exercise
provides structure
with a creed and mandate
to live by....

Just one last time
I would like to see a victim
made whole again
through the power 
of restorative justice

Just one last time
I would like to see 
the tears upon an Offender's face
when I congratulate him
for not only getting a job
and regaining control of his life
but for fullfilling 
the terms
of his probation.

Just one last time
I would like 
for my wife to turn
her face towards
me 
and say I am proud of
you 
and what you 
become
