Kindness

Kindness

Kindness makes you the most beautiful in the world
So why do I feel ugly
I treat strangers with kindness
Holding doors open and apologizing when it isn’t my fault

I think it’s because deep down
There is a hatred in me
I can’t control what rude words jump out of my mouth
I can not control the sudden outbursts against those I love

As much as I hate others
I believe the hatred burns brightest for me
The way I look and act constantly changing to fit in
I don’t want to do it anymore

Maybe I shouldn’t
Maybe I won’t
Kindness is easy to fake
Anger is not

How much better off would the world be with a little more kindness in it ?
Thanks for sharing this insight into your thought process.
All the best to you.

Deeply interesting write...how we act in the outside is not always what we feel on the inside and sometimes for whatever reasons we cant always control what we feel. I think mostly we learn to recognise out triggers and shut the world out on the very bad days ...x

"Waltz in La La Land...

It's a whisper of the sadness of letting go and still...

We started here - perhaps to end the same way.
We chased something only alive between the frames...
