Kiss of Death...

Kiss of Death...

Quietus speaks the words of his prey,
Silence bestow the gift of darkened dreams,
Fragile anthropoid reveling in death's game,
Imperial touch determined who's to breathe.

Moments from life but yet kissed by death,
Surrendered by absence of eternal faith,
A cold caress caught tears as the soul wept,
Decadence covered by white satin veil.

Obsession serves the martyr as skies descend,
Possession declares weakness as the heart suspends,
Swinging in hollow cage, the innocent a ghostly prisoner,
Enclosed in coffin state, nothing but darkness as your listener.

Feathers mutate into stone, flightless wings burden bread,
Greed in forever sheltered a kiss and fortune favoured the dead,
Nature in humanity transcended, from earth they grew once more,
The kiss of death brought a new dawn, let the water of life now pour.

One last kiss?
