KITE AND MY LITTLE GIRL

A perfect spring like day for my child and I 
To the park we went to watch the kite fly 
The wind started to whoosh and swirl
Running forever was my lovely little girl 

Up the kite went as we both smiled together 
Both thankful today for such windy weather 
The strings were pulled for a different direction 
I gathered my thoughts in happy self reflection 

Times like these you wish would last forever 
My little girl operating a kite feeling clever 
In years to come I will look back on this day 
When that kite from my child went up and away
