Oh, speak no more of silken
bird whose colours swirl in
fluttered twirl, bird who soars
with tweet and sing, do you
not see cat there, hiding in its
wing?
And cat who was once so
kitten sweet!! To roll silk balls
there by smiling feet, the purr
all lies, just like lambs soft
fleece, who revered as pure,
just ends up raw meat
And both and all... hounded by
dog, who chews all balls at
humanities call and, run fetch
run to chew tails too, too tired
to stop and ask of you...what
for?
So race on through with
blinded sight, seeing kitten
soft worlds in bird coloured
lights and question not how
the beauty fades to horrors in
all life's parade...and what for?
What for ....???

Isn't that one of the main questions in life why, who, what for? enjoyed Marion!..............Jim
Aye...tis Jim...that's why I thought I would ask it ...again!!...😬😬😬😊
thankyou my friend 😊
A very interesting write, but a very good one. Nice work
Thanks love 💕
A real life competition by living beings?
Hi Yiyan...everything in the food chain is beautiful...everything in the food chain is savage...can beauty be said to be truly beautiful?? And what, in the end, is all that suffering for??...🤔🤔
"can beauty be said to be truly beautiful" -- This is a very tricky question, because "a beauty is in the eye of the beholder" as the proverb goes.
Think you actually try to ask "what, in the end, is all that suffering for". Humanity is still barbaric and inhumane. That's why we're in this 2019-2020 mess now. Evils will face the God's judgement, and hope this day is near.
That's exactly what I'm asking Yiyan...and I do agree with you. That's why we are in this mess now...but we have been in similar messes all through the ages and nothing really improves does it...hmmnnn...🤔🤔
Interesting disturbance, sense a greater meaning but can`t put my finger on it. The chaos of nature maybe? Id love to know your poetic technique. Kind regards. TFOTS
Lol..
its simple...I don't have one...😃
This is about how beauty is bewitching...so bewitching it is really hard to see the lie of it all...hugs 💕
A very interesting write, Marion. Love the concept. Love how the colourful bird twirls in a flurry of beautiful feathers unaware of the cat... And the cat unaware of the dog. Life is beautiful but it is also savage. I wonder what it is all about. Are we all just a beautiful, chaotic accident? Our only purpose to pass on our genes before we die? Is there actually a reason? Is there really a god? Can we make sense from senseless? Or should that be, is all that makes sense actually senseless? Hmmm. I wonder. And while I wonder I shall walk the Dog and play with the cat (after clearing away the beautiful parakeet he just killed and brought indoors) x
Ha ha...your comment made me laugh (through my tears 😂) at the end...😆 Seriously though I get such overwhelming feelings of pointlessness sometimes...then they pass and I glue the feathers back on the bird and try to write something nice...for a change! Lol...thankyou Tina 🤗🤗
He really did kill a parakeet and bring it in! He likes the exotic does Milo 🙄 Glad it made you laugh though 🤣 x
Oh that's so sad! Still if people left them in the wild where they belong they wouldn't get lost in bloody UK!!...I love cats ...hate that they kill, though mine are getting older and preferring the duvets these days...thank god...hugs 💕
Apparently the ancestors of our parakeets round here escaped from the set of The African Queen film. They were brought over for that ☹ way back in the day. And now there are thousands of them. Beautiful little things. Ringed neck parakeets they are. As naughty and horrid as it was, Milo was a clever little bugger to catch one. My last cat's speciality was squirrels. He was a nightmare with the poor things. I love squirrels as well 😢 x
Oh ...I see. Ok, forgiven them if they have bred well.in this country. I thought you meant an escaped bird. I think my cats would run a mile from a squirrel Tina...lol...they were petrified by a seagull...i.once rescued...lol. Sorry for late reply 💕
