Knight Dreamer

Knight Dreamer

Dream on, young knight
for the night is long,
as are the years ahead, I dread.
Or have I with fear, myself, misled?

I pray, this day, that it is so.
That the sights that flash before your eyes,
when the time does come for you to go.
Are more wondrous than the moonlit sky.

So take this joy that you have helped us find,
and let its light lead your way.
For we who are lost will always follow
the knight who dreams his nights away.
