Knights Of The Road

Brimstone blacktop
Dark as demon eyes,
Meet steeler's wheels
Riders......
Of forever loud,
UponÂ
Mechanical horses
Scurge by
Cloaked in night.
"Would ye",Â
Wish to tell
The malcontent look
Plaguing skull like faces,
"Then thee'd",Â
Have to guess
Through shades of shadows
CoveringÂ
Sun excused eyes;
All equippedÂ
And heavy handed possess
Various projectile revolvers, spitting
End of times metal
Outweighing words
When doing one's bidding.
Death capes
Over
Vigilantly broad
Leather shoulders,
Knights of the road
Waste wicked souls
Other than thine own-
Theirs,
Locked
In a dead grip'd hold.

Man Oh Man DEVON!!...... your writing is truly finding its way through some great subject matter....... finding new ways to express that which is in you to express........I Love those few, well placed, Older English phrases..... that gave edge to those fabulous new phrases you found to describe those road warriors....... reminding us of the "Hell's Angels" and the sheer awe that followed them everywhere they went........ not that this was necessarily intended for only the Hell's Angels....... because there were MANY motorcycle clubs all over the U.S. well before them........... this was a great read bro......... and a masterfully crafted conveyance!!............ALL STARS.......... high fives my friend!!..........T xo
Thanks T, I Â was inspired by watching sons of anarchy, and I had this idea that they are like modern day warriors or as I put it knights. They are free and they live dangerously. I appreciate the recognition brother iam having fun trying new forms and reinventing and basicly mixing it up in any genre I choose. Much love and respect for you man.
