18 & Labeled

Fate lies within a crowded man.

Late replies amidst a life unplanned.

What’s not to understand?

Who I am, Who are you?

Clay formed from bitter hands.

A mind molded from resentful herds.

A brain soaked in hurtful words.

An old soul kidnapped from being young.

Will purpose cast doubt out from past shadows?

Will willingness to change remain caught deep beneath the darkness.

How many futures can be hostage to so much focus on past-tense  traumas.

Vices always lending fears, advice always sending tears, bending ears defend both.

Friends come and friends go, my bitter truth scares most off including myself at times.

Faith tries to keep up but the damage has been done and the mental baggage trumps all!

I keep getting up, the next fall I know is inevitable, regardless of the path or if I walk or run.

Fate lies within a crowded man.

A boy raised unacquainted to confidence, afraid of love, left with pain has now been named an adult.
