"A Lady

As we exit 2008
I often contemplate the phrase
"A lady"
Our female of this generation
demand, to be treated as such
because, as they say, it is just
wearing their three inch heels
and crotch length shorts
spewing their foul language
and using their unconservative touch
they say it is just
caught in compromising situations
making adultorus procumations
they say it is just
dressed in mini skirts
and low cut shirts
while suing their boss
for sexual harrasment
they say it is just
offering sexual favors
for the return of minimum labor
they say it is just
I stand before you amused
by this shady confirmation
of being a lady
confused by this sorrow
these females scream of lately
for the undeserved right to be called a lady
if you haven't noticed yet
I'm a female too
so before you start to shout
about stepping in your shoes
in every situation you have the right to choose
just what you really stand for
and how you're really viewed
so in this case in 2008
of female vs. state
on being called a lady
now matter how we act
no matter how we dress
no matter what we do
the verdict has been cast
I'm sorry to say
we lose.
