Lament of a Stranger

Mountains rushing, swaying back,

Lapse the moments of all time;

What sublime being made thy,

Why did he create destruction?

The world expels deep blue skies,

And rolls the passive green fields,

But sad, dark death still terrifies

And leaves one with massive tears.

And love pervades through time still,

With all the tender that one gives,

But the love can’t hinder the kills,

That one must face as he lives.

Why the broken truth, the rain,

That just clenches on all souls?

Is this lavish test worth pain,

That haunts human beings through?

You made the stars and the moon,

The planets linger in your set,

But at the same time, you made death,

And the fine curse that's just like you.
