Why punish yourself for your beliefs, is it a sin to have a faith? Why lament what's in your heart.
Believe in what you want, hold it and cherish it.
Which diety will you obey? Is there more than one? Let others cast the stone, let others turn and sneer.
Forsake it and regret, why bother in the first place if you're heart isn't sincere. Lip service, ah! now we are getting somewhere, it's just a fad yeah?
You want forgiveness, but under your cloak you snigger, you think you can't be seen I guess but how wrong you are my friend.
I see you! I see you, I know what you are, you lament your soul but its not worth the time and effort, you're just a pseudo believer aren't you?
Oh don't worry there's plenty of your sort out there, there's no where to hide for he sees everything, all you nonbeleivers.
Lament your soul for all your worth, but it counts for nothing at judgement day. When the book is opened and names are listed, will yours be there...are you sure?

I do like the way your work.calls out the faithless Keith...trouble is...one man's meat and all that. There are just so many gods to chose from!! I have a problem.with that. I believe in higher powers but no man made religious organisation...most have blood on the alters ...good write 🤗
Fully agree Marion, I avnt got a beleif in a god as such, although I do question most faiths as regards beliefs. This write was after listening to a conversation between 2 people on the bus. I just thought at the time "they just avnt got a clue and blindly follow" but like you say "one man's meat" cheers Marion
Ha...what are we like😆😆 we take inspiration from.everywhere...lol...i do too. I think there is definately more than our puny five senses can perceive Keith, yet somewhere buried in all.of us is a seed of knowledge that we can't quite get our hands on.
We are not alone in the cosmos. I love churches chapels etc but I have little respect for the establishments themselves. I didn't get this comment by email by the way...I happened to see it in the comments...hugs 🤗

I am a believer that there is a creator of the Universe...
That something must have created it All.....meaning that
all belief systems and culturally influenced religions have
some truth in it......that the evolution of the planet has influenced
beliefs and Gods that have been worshiped throughout time....
It must have been a VERY interesting conversation that you
overheard on that bus to have inspired such a wonderful piece
