Land of Industry

Concrete mountains inlaid with glass
Winding paths snake mountain pass
Mortal throngs beat dead the grass
In the land of industry.

Tombs of contrivance pollute the air
Boatmen paid substantial fare
In tongues through boxes speak as dare
In the land of Industry.

Vocation to this place has called
where illustrious and great are halled
Those imprisoned, tethered, walled
By the land of Industry
